Target Groups

1) General Public (Home owners)

    a) Provide design drawings for planning applications, making the application to the council provide all required reports.
    b) Provide building control drawings and full working drawings for the contractor to work from. Submit and gain building regulation approvals.
    c) Assist with choosing a builder, providing tender documentation for the work to start on site. Agree prices with all parties provide and arrange signing of building work contract for the project. Obtaining all necessary forms for commencement on site i.e. Party wall agreements, inform building control of start dates.
    d) Supervise building works and ensure the build is completed to a good standard, on time and in budget. The customer can to the extent of my services he/she requires.

2) Builder Merchants

    a) Provide quantity take-off of all building materials required as specified for the project from the merchant’s customer drawings.
     b) Make recommendations of alternative details and/or materials that could be more cost effective.
    c) Provide a second check system for the merchants customer not all drawing are complete and to modern standards.
    d) I can provide an idea of construction from design drawings thus help merchants customers in budgeting their project
    e) This system helps the merchant to have a clear view of materials required and material specified and also enables them to provide best prices for the site as a whole. Various branches of MKM Building supplies have been this service for a year now and it has helped their employees understand material choices to meet current regulations as well as provided MKM’s customers with an invaluable service thus encouraging sales.

3) Building contractors

    a) Detailed drawing service. Sometimes customers do not have drawings for there preferred scheme or only have planning drawings this can be tricky when doing projects like loft conversions. Therefore I will provide planning or working drawings to building regulation standard for him to work from and/or to submit to his preferred building control service.
     b) Material take-off service so the builder can have a list of building materials and shop around his merchants for best prices.
    c) Recommendation on alternative specifications to that of the drawings and clarifying any details on drawings that are vague or missing.
    d) Help when dealing with local authority building control officers and planners. He will have a professional on his side.
